This inaugural event is initated the BAMM Cares Corporation non-profit by celebrating the art of journalism and storytelling; and it was the official kick-off to the City of New Orleans' 2019 MLK holiday festivities! We honored local journalists and media personalities for their significant contributions to our community through their work in media. We also hosted a panel discussion with local media personalities entitled, "Black and the Media - has anything changed since 1968?" The event was free and open to the public.
