Jared The Dreamer will donate 1000 of his children's book, There's A Creature In My Belly, to underprivileged kids in New Orleans.
Jared R. Green, a young Black children's book author, is giving over 1,000 copies of his book to underprivileged children in New Orleans.
Green, who is from the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans and is known by many as "Jared the Dreamer," founded the nonprofit organization Sunny with a Chance of Love to promote growth and change in his community. Through his organization, he plans to donate 1,000 copies of his book to underprivileged children.
"For as long as I can remember, I have always encompassed a heart full of compassion," said Green. "I began volunteering in my community at five years old and said it's something that always brought me genuine joy."
There's A Creature in my Belly aims to teach that our purpose in life and ability to contribute is always within us. Green said he wrote the book to inspire others and help them find their passions in life.
"My hope is that this book will help inspire children everywhere to find their passions and use them to make a positive impact on the world," said Green.
